A bit about the Author

My artist name is R.I.D. and I was raised in Fort Worth, Texas and am currently living in Germany.

As for main influences it’s hard because there are so many, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Grandmaster Funk, Public Enemy, Beasty Boys, Jay-Z, Future, Young Thug, Puff Daddy and the list goes on and on, my pallet is wide and has no limits when it comes to the forefathers of Hip Hop.

My music is very original while being true to all origins of Hip Hop, old, new, I meat to really create the art you only need a simple beat. If you feel it, it comes to you. When I hear a beat, I know right away if I could write a song to it. I don’t waste any time.  Nine times out of ten I finish writing the song before I get the right to a beat. Since my influences come from such a wide spectrum it’s hard to really say who I sound like. I like to think I have my own sound but that I sound like them all.
